Dr. Robert Haskey, M.D., F.A.C.S., brings to Penstock an impressive background with over 45 years of extensive healthcare experience. As the Chief Medical Officer, his role is instrumental in offering clinical support and guidance across all medical aspects of the business, diligently working towards eliminating unnecessary costs and creating lasting, systemic change for clients.
Dr. Haskey’s unique expertise allows for a more precise selection of claims for auditing by adeptly leveraging coding systems alongside his clinical knowledge. In addition, he supports the Penstock team with edit development, participating in the audit process, and assisting in the defense of audit findings when providers appeal.
Prior to joining Penstock, Dr. Haskey served as a Board-Certified general surgeon for more than 20 years. His far-reaching experience in payment integrity, provider relations, credentialing, SIU, legal affairs, claims and IT innovations solidify his standing as an industry expert. Having worked with organizations such as the United States Air Force, BCBS in the Pacific NW, and a prominent payment integrity company, Dr. Haskey has gained an unparalleled understanding of coding systems, their interconnectedness, and their significance to clinical medicine.
